What is SciO Juniors?

SciO Juniors is based on the rules of Science Olympiad Division A (Gr 3-4). It involves team-based competitions in a variety of science-related subjects called Events that covers biology, physics, chemistry, and engineering.

The program will be open to students in Grades 3 & 4 in the Chappaqua Central School District.  It will take place at Horace Greeley High School on May 17 and May 18, 2025; 1st day for preparation and coaching and the 2nd day for a mini competition. The Events are designed to be age-appropriate, with simpler concepts and challenges suited for younger students. SciO Juniors aims to spark an interest in science rather than foster competitiveness, helping students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a fun, hands-on environment.
